Lizzie Fortunato Jewels Does Belts And Bags For Spring

Oh Happy Day! We've been begging the gals at Lizzie Fortunato Jewels (twins Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato) to turn their talented peepers over to bags since, like, forever (they did a one-off back in '08) imagine the major freak-out that occurred this morning when we saw a couple offerings besides straight-up jewelry in their spring '11 lookbook, entitled "Surf City." On tap are two "Pirate's Delight" bags that are more suited to stylists than surfers, with the same colorful, patterned, and embellished elements that make their necklaces, bracelets, and earrings so stand-out stunning. The arm candy is hand-embroidered with the same textiles found on the collection's other pieces, while gold and silver silk and a gold, gilt chain add an element of glamor to the beach-y whimsy. And, if your bag quotient is already full, there's also a corset-type belt with stud closures perfect for cinching a dress or blouse. Kathryn Fortunato told
today that the new items "were obvious next steps." Pirate's booty indeed.

The bags will be available at, with prices from $375 to $450.
