There’s A Red-Lip Revival Happening At Fashion Week

For a while, the backstage pros were a little wary of using red lipstick. It was just a few years ago that MAC Ruby Woo went from being a hidden treasure of the brand's vast collection to the best-selling, sold-out must-have that it is today.
And, for that reason, it fell (briefly) out of fashion. It was adapted by women everywhere in full, rabid force, which meant makeup artists had to come up with a fresh, new idea to put forth in the world. Case in point: The orange lipsticks seen everywhere for spring '14 or the deep, berry lips for our current fall season. (And, let's not get started on the pervasiveness of the your-lips-but-better trend.)
For this upcoming season, it seems many of the big brands agree that it's time to accept, own, and revamp the beloved red lip. From Burberry to Dolce & Gabbana, proof of the classic's triumphant comeback is straight ahead.
