Classic Weejuns Get A Fresh Makeover

To call Rachel Iwanyszyn just another fashion blogger would be wrong — extremely wrong. The 24-year-old moonlights as an amateur cook (her signature dish is fish topped with capers) and a baritone ukulele musician. Yep, the Detroit-born New Yorker is a bit of a triple-threat — and we haven't even gotten to her blog yet.
Iwanyszyn came up with the idea after having separate Lookbook.nu and LiveJournal accounts. Realizing that it would be the perfect mix of those two worlds, Jag Lever was born. And, while Iwanyszyn spends copious amounts of time snapping ethereal photos of her outfits and testing products, her day doesn't stop when she hits "publish" on a post. The busy blogger is often running to meetings and showroom appointments, but she carved out some time for the G.H. Bass & Co. style challenge to modernize the classic penny loafer.
Iwanyszyn was supplied with a pair of patent green and two-toned penny loafers and was tasked to create two totally different looks. Trust us — you'll be surprised with the results ahead. And if you're inspired to take on the challenge, just Instagram your stylized G.H. Bass loafers with #powertothepenny.
