Miami-Approved Looks For Your Next Summer Party

Among the innumerable reasons summer Fridays make us feel #blessed, they give us permission to indulge in one of our favorite activities: alfresco partying. While we tend to keep these moments more low-key, like backyard cookouts and rooftop drinks, it was about time we took a more sophisticated approach with our quintessential seasonal happenings. So, last Friday, we put up our OOO messages early to hit up R29 Mediterranea, a posh poolside bash at The Miami Beach Edition that we co-hosted with Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. Taking the place of grilled 'dogs and paper plates were luxe nail bars courtesy of Vanity Projects, an insane fragrance oyster bar (with perfume bottles nestled inside shells), and take-home goodies like Dolce & Gabbana's fragrant Light Blue scent. The guests — including David Gandy and Bianca Balti (the faces of the Light Blue campaign) and DJ Chelsea Leyland — brought their style A-game to the afternoon fete, so much so that we're bookmarking their looks for our next summer shindig. Follow our lead and cop the day-to-night ensembles below. All that's left to do is secure a date as fly as Monsieur Gandy. We can dream, right?

Switch up the boho vibe of this fringe dress with sexy, statement footwear and a bold-pattern bag, like Annie Vazquez does here. Bonus points if you can match your hair color to your shoes!
David Gandy, Bianca Balti, and Chelsea Leyland (our DJ for the night) are almost too gorgeous for one photo. But, that didn't stop us from noticing how Balti plays up her feminine style with a dizzyingly pretty dress and pointy-toe heels — a perfect choice for a day-to-night event. Leyland keeps it chic in a lace black number.
An accordion-pleat trapeze silhouette is the sartorial answer to hot summer days. Jenny Lopez agrees, and adds some eclectic flare to it with a chunky gold necklace and reflective, oversized shades.
Daniela Botero serves up a Grecian take on the printed mini with metallic accessories and knee-high gladiators.
