Think about your favorite date-night makeup look. Maybe it was a rose-tinted lipstick you wore to a Yankees game in the middle of August, or the shimmery bronze eyeshadow you swept onto your lids the night you met your now-fiancé. In a way, makeup fuses with those pivotal romantic memories, which is why putting some time and thought into getting ready for a big Friday night can feel so special.
But, despite what every women's magazine might have told you, there is no one-size fits all approach to date-night makeup. Some like to go bold, others like to go bare, and the rest of us probably fall somewhere in the middle with a look that's just a notch up from our typical day-to-day.
So, before the biggest date night of the year, we thought it was an opportune time to put together an array of easy, romantic beauty inspiration for every style. Ahead, you'll find 12 dreamy, achievable makeup looks — from peachy eyes to glossy red lips — styled by trend-forward A-listers, fashion models, and influencers. Scroll through them all to find the makeup look that will manifest a Valentine's Day to remember.

A watermelon lip with a peach-toned eye creates one unexpectedly gorgeous date-night combo. Kate Bosworth's trusted makeup artist Pati Dubroff tells us she was inspired by the fusion of rosy orange tones. "I wanted to create a harmony between the eye, lip, and dress," she says. "I used the Viseart Golden eyeshadow palette for the peach-toned shadow, and the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in the shade Torch to define the lash line." She finished by dabbing Flesh Fleshpot Eye and Cheek Glow on the lids for a glossy glow.

If cherry-red lipstick isn't your style, a deep-rose balm or stain (like Natalia Vodianova's) feels just as sexy.

At this year's SAG Awards, makeup artist Emily Cheng gave Yara Shahidi a rosy beauty look that we're still dreaming about. To copy those petal-pink lids, take a page from Cheng's book and mix Bobbi Brown's lip color in Rebel Rose with a little clear lip gloss and smudge it on with your fingers.

Even if you're in cropped jeans and a T-shirt (not custom Chanel like Margot Robbie), shimmery gold lids and satin peach lips scream elegance.

Crazy Rich Asians star Gemma Chan and her layered Oscar de la Renta gown topped every best-dressed list at this year's SAG Awards. And since being dressed in couture is a pipe dream for most, we're more invested in the glam look — a hint of blush and a plumping pink lip gloss — which feels much more attainable.

The secret to a memorable makeup look — on Valentine's Day or any of the other 364 days of the year — is the attention to detail. Here, Kendall Jenner's red eyeliner adds the perfect touch of color to her face with a single kitten flick.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely could bring the sex appeal with nothing but Chapstick on her lips, so this blotted berry really takes it over the top.

If anyone can convince us that creamsicle and magenta make a stunning color combo, it's Lily Collins in this Grecian-inspired Giambattista Valli gown, paired with a screaming pink eyelid. Makeup artist Vincent Oquendo used Lancôme's shadow stick in Rose Pastel, which we've already added to cart.
