With girls becoming fashion icons at increasingly early ages (like Blue Ivy Carter young) their equally fabulous moms are often overlooked (Beyoncé aside, obvs). However, we know moms are out there in the sartorial sphere, mixed in with the dangerously high heels and bloggers, but unless they're covered in baby food, their mommy hats are usually well concealed.
So, to give them their moment in the spotlight (literally), lifestyle brand, The Moms, is bringing a fashion show devoted exclusively to mothers to NYFW. The show is totally FMBM (for moms, by moms), and will feature real motherly, but not matronly, models. Clearly, the lady of the house is not only being recognized for her dapper duds, but also her control of the family funds — and everyone knows the easiest way to a mommy's Proenza pocketbook is a charity fashion show!

The show, which will stream live online for the everymom, will take place on February 16 at the New York Public Library. No word yet on whether it will be in the children's wing. (NY Mag)
