Faster, Faster! Mark Fast To Create Lower-Priced Line

People always say that the best things in life are free.. and although this isn't quite the paragon of the maxim, Mark Fast did give out freebie cobweb tights at his last (controversial) spring '10 runway show during London Fashion Week that were so hotly sought after and worn that they lead him to create a new diffusion line named—of course—Faster that's centered around making affordable renditions of his luxury-priced pieces. What's "diffused" exactly from his main line? Well, the manufacturing, for one. "The main collection is done on domestic machines, with a person knitting one dress at a time. [Faster] is done with a factory in Italy," said Mark. Also the designs will be more accessible, for those who love Mark Fast, but can't figure out how to wear a see-through, cobweb minidress. Prices range from $25 to $400, wholesale and you can find it at Curve and Seven in New York. (WWD)
