Lewis’ Tiny Celebration of Her Comfy Collection

Alison-Lewis-1
Alison Lewis offered up the second season of her solo line, LEWIS, upstairs and all the way back at Bebo in the West Village. The space was small and, therefore, naturally packed—but cute stuffed birds, feathers, taxidermied cats (!!!), and a healthy dose of champers made the quarters comfortable. On display were her vintage-inspired goods, this time around reminiscent of '20s style with oriental touches, silks, black skirts, and many a floral print. A blouse with an almost kimono-like front was a true pleasure and, as always, the designer was the best model for her own work—though the quite dramatically styled girls on the presentation stage were no small change. A sweet perfiterole of a collection—one that points the way to increasingly better offerings from this young Brooklyn designer.
