Well, Thanks To Disney, Joy Division Is No Longer Cool

mickey
We love "Love Will Tear Us Apart." We'll be listening to "Decades" for decades. But our absolute Unknown Pleasure (last pun, we promise) in über-cool Manchester band Joy Division might have just officially become "mainstream."
Because now, Mickey and Co. are getting in on our post-punk love. Taking a page from the iconic Unknown Pleasures album cover (you know, the one every cute freshman boy in college wore religiously?), Disney has tapped into our nostalgia with a "Mickey Waves" tee, which uses the recognizable black-and-white scribble to render The Mouse.
The design team behind this certainly isn't afraid of treading on hallowed ground, but we have to wonder: Who are they targeting here? Cool Floridians who want to show their love for Ian Curtis and Disney characters? Do such people even exist? Let us know.
