This just in... The International Center of Photography is dedicating an entire year to exhibiting photography tied to style and trend. From January 16, 2009 through January 3, 2010, curator Carol Squiers and guest curator Vince Aletti will present a series of six exhibitions centered around the cultural significance of fashion imagery. Opening January 16 is "This is Not a Fashion Photograph," a show that looks at how non-fashion photographers like Robert Mapplethorpe and Walker Evans have used style in their shots, and "Weird Beauty: Fashion Photography Now" - that one's pretty self explanatory. International Center of Photography, 1133 Avenue of the Americas at 43rd Street, 212-857-0000.
