Erin Wasson Channels Empire Records For A Grungy Editorial

elle-empire-records-1
Cult '90s flick Empire Records and its cast of slacker store employees had some seriously awesome fashion moments: Doc Martens, plaid skirts, cropped tops, and lots of faded denim, just to name a few. And because all things in fashion inevitably get recycled, we couldn't be more excited to see Erin Wasson channeling fashion elements both past and present in this inspired editorial she styled in this month's Elle. The designer/model/muse/Jill-of-all-trades paired tie-dye tights, slouchy cardis, knee-highs and floral cut-offs for looks that seem both retro and utterly current. We're going to go home, re-watch the film, and style our own inspired looks, and maybe hit up Bleecker Bob's while we're at it.
