Hailing from Rome, Italian psych duo Dumbo Gets Mad makes wonderfully weird pop with a lysergic bent. "Bam Bam," the newest single from its upcoming sophomore album, Quantum Leap, has the duo weaving analog synths and bleepy bloops with a big, unaffected, almost ridiculously simple chorus ("Bam, Bam, Bam").
Mastering was done by Kelly Hibbert (Flying Lotus, Dilla, Madlib, and more), who manages to keep all the elements distinct as the track whizzes through space. Be on the lookout for Quantum Leap this February via Bad Panda, and if you want to take the track on a cosmic journey of your own, just enter your email via the widget doohickey below.
