Given Fashion Week's track record for bringing out the boundary pushing crowds, it was only natural for some super cool hair trends to shake out during the week, too. And almost organically, as designers like Alexander Wang, Vena Cava, Prabal Gururng, and Chris Benz incorporated hair and makeup drawn from the grunge-y 90s, we spotted a slew of black models rocking a buzzed cut. They're not half-assing it with an undercut or shorn sides, they're going for a bold, buzzed-all-over, shorter-than-short look. And sure, a shaved head definitely has roots in '80s punk and '90s grunge (think Grace Jones, Empire Records, Sinead O'Connor, and M'Shell N'Degeocello), but really, the beauty of the look is its era-defying nature (more recent efforts of the buzz include Erykah Badu, Alek Wek, Solange Knowles, Aggy Deyn, and Cassie), because sometimes simplifying makes the biggest statement of all.
