Barbie Gets All Dressed Up By CFDA Designers

We spend enough time ogling the clothing of real-life people we see in street style blogs, but in the wake of Gaga Barbies, fashion dolls, and now, Barbies customized by a slew of CFDA talents, it's likely we'll have to add pictures of our plastic friends to our inspiration folder. In celebration of its newest Barbie Basics doll, which comes with a simple LBD and accessories kits, Mattel has invited some of the industry's finest, including Isaac Mizrahi, Rachel Roy, Tory Burch, Subversive's Justin Giunta, and Monica Botkier to customize their own Barbies. The dolls will be auctioned off on eBay starting February 7th, with a starting bid of $100 and all proceeds going towards CFDA initiatives and scholarships. (WWD)
