We’ve been starting to feel some wrist envy after seeing the Apple Watch on so many celebrities. Our wallets are inching closer and closer as we think, Maybe I should buy an Apple Watch after all. Hold it: This magic gadget may be what you want, but it may not be what you actually need.
The Apple Watch promises to free us from our smartphone-obsessed lives — and look good doing so. It’s loaded with features: gentle vibration alerts when you get an incoming text message or a Facebook notification; heart rate and activity tracking; and the ability to ask Siri just about anything and get a quick answer, right on your wrist. It all sounds useful, but lets look at your style, your budget, and your way of life to see if it really fits who you are.
