Anna Wintour "Doesn't Put Much Weight In Market Research" (That Explains The Stethoscope)

Whenever Anna Wintour appears on daytime TV, you can probably find us on the couch clutching our remotes — the awkward banter, pinched smiles, and fashion-people-to-normal-people disconnect that always gets us going. This Sunday, Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles will appear on CBS Sunday Morning in celebration of Vogue 's 120th anniversary. When asked about what comprises her decision making process at Vogue, Anna revealed she doesn't put much stock in market research (the preferences, buying habits, and interests of consumers), and instead relies on her own instincts for what to include in the magazine. "Sometimes, they're successful and obviously, sometimes they're not. But you have to, I think, remain true to what you believe in." That might explain the gazillion dollar stethoscope. (WWD)
