The skin is a mirror of the internal state of your body. If you’re having breakouts, it can be a sign that something on the inside isn’t quite right. Acne can be caused by things like blood sugar imbalances, inflammation, poor digestion, hormones, and stress — all of which can be linked to the food you eat.
In order to look clean and clear on the outside, you need to be clean on the inside first! If you abuse yourself through food, your skin tells you. Acne is internal inflammation being expressed through the skin, so in order to eliminate acne you have to first decrease or eliminate the pro-inflammatory foods that lead to spikes in hormone and insulin levels in the body.
