What you see in fashion magazines doesn't necessarily translate to what you'll see in the stores, much less on the streets. Kate Lanphear put it best when she divulged to Daily Front Row that magazine editors have a different eye than buyers: "Editors will fight for the same looks, and those are usually the opposite of what a retailer will select. Retailers are there to protect their customers, and to respond to what those customers want. Editors are reporters."
So…take the following news with a grain of salt; just because nearly every major fashion magazine featured butt-baring bodysuits, that doesn't mean you'll spot them on the woman standing in front of you at the grocery store.
