Some companies have nap pods. Others might start having nap desks. Greek design company NL Studio has developed the perfect nap desk, made of metal, wood, and plush white leather.
First, it looks like a desk or a counter.
The top can slide out to transform it into a working desk, with a little nook underneath (walls are optional).
"The main concept was to comment on the fact that many times our lives are 'shrinking' in order to fit into the confined space of our office," the architects wrote on Archilovers. Kind of a depressing idea, no? Luckily, the desk could be used in multiple situations, fitting into the lives of workaholics, journalists on a deadline, and people who work from home in tiny studios.
Our favorite aspect? The optional walls — put them up if you want to nap in privacy, or simply hide out from the never-ending line of people asking you questions. We just know George Costanza would LOVE this.
