George Zimmerman Is Painting Confederate Flags To Support A Racist Gun Shop

It reads like something from Cards Against Humanity. George Zimmerman is partnering with an Islamophobic gun store to make Confederate Flag art. But alas, it's real — and it looks like Zimmerman's artistic side is pretty much like all his other sides. On the website for Florida Gun Supply, you can purchase a Confederate flag painting for just $50. It features the stars 'n' bars, with the phrase "The 2nd protects our 1st," in reference to the amendments. Zimmerman is notorious for his role in the shooting death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, but since, he's been implicated or charged in a handful or other incidents involving guns — and threats of violence against his ex-wife and other women. He's painting the flags in support of Andy Hallinan, who recently made headlines when he declared his store, Florida Gun Supply, a "Muslim-free Zone." Hallinan, who made the declaration in response to the shootings in Chatanooga last month, is now being sued by the Council for American Islamic Relations (for obvious reasons). Zimmerman says he's doing it to raise money for Hallinan's defense. "The first flag I painted on this canvas was an American Flag, but decided to repaint over it with the Confederate Flag when I heard Andy was getting sued by CAIR. The [second] flag I painted was the Battle Flag — which we need in America in order to protect the first." said Zimmerman, per the gun shop's site. The two also made a short film explaining their collaboration. Watch at your own risk:
