This has been the summer of Caitlyn Jenner, and what a wonderful time it has been. By transitioning in the public eye and speaking out for transgender acceptance, Jenner is making tremendous strides for the community. But in a preview for an upcoming episode of I Am Cait, Khloé Kardashian argues that Caitlyn can enjoy her moment without dragging her ex, Kris Jenner, "through the mud." In the clip, Khloé seems to be referencing comments that Caitlyn made about Kris and their marriage in her Vanity Fair cover interview. Of Kris, Jenner told the magazine, “A lot of times she wasn’t very nice. People would see how I got mistreated. She controlled the money…all that kind of stuff.”
Though Kris didn't agree with how their marriage was portrayed in the article, she has been supportive of her ex since her transition, tweeting that Caitlyn is her "hero." She also said Caitlyn's speech at the ESPY awards was "amazing and very brave." Whatever problems may have existed in their marriage, could it be time for Caitlyn to agree to a public cease-fire? Kris is undoubtedly facing a lot of pressure as a parent and manager to her kids. Between helping out one daughter who's expecting, one who's dating an older guy, another going through a very public separation, and a son battling depression — Kris has a lot on her plate. It's never easy for anyone to see an ex doing incredibly well after a breakup, no matter how good of a person you try to be. Kris' ex spent their post-breakup period becoming one of the most talked about women in the world, not to mention the gorgeous model on one of the most groundbreaking magazine covers to hit newsstands. Perhaps Khloé has a point, and Caitlyn could stay true to her personal mission and give Kris a little space to process their changing relationship.
