Taylor Swift Had The Perfect Instagram Response To Miley Cyrus’ Weird Post

Well, that escalated quickly. We're not exactly sure what Miley Cyrus was trying to say with one of her latest Instagram posts, but it seems to have sparked a bit of controversy. Yesterday, the pop star posted a meme in which Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber's faces were swapped, remarking that they looked like a "cute lesbian couple." Cyrus didn't create the meme, but sharing it seemed to rub some folks the wrong way. Further complicating the situation is that Cyrus herself is reportedly in a lesbian relationship, and the singer's own foundation does outreach for homeless LGBTQ youth. So, she should perhaps know better than most that lesbians don't necessarily look one particular way.

Then, Swift herself responded. Her comment, "sending you love," is either the ultimate act of killing someone with kindness, or the world's new go-to response for icing out your enemy. Judging by the way Cyrus' Insta feed is now flooding with "sending you love" comments, it might be a little of both. One fan quipped that they were sending Swift "humor," suggesting that, whatever the singers think of one another, their respective fandoms are experiencing some (wait for it) bad blood. Oh boy. We can't wait for the music video. OPENER IMAGE: Gregory Pace/BeImages.
