This Blind Teenager Singing The National Anthem Before The NBA Finals Is Amazing

On June 16, millions of fans watched the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Golden State Warriors in game six of the N.B.A. Finals. Prior to seeing LeBron James and Steph Curry go head-to-head for the title, viewers were blown away by a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. Born with cytomegalovirus, the Kentucky native suffers from cerebral palsy and has been blind since birth. Furthermore, doctors didn't expect her to live past a year. Profiled in ESPN's E:60 last December, VanHoose is a true inspiration. On June 16, the talented teen stood before a massive crowd, filled with strength and soul that could rival music legends. Fans roared throughout her performance, while Vanhoose sang effortlessly.
