Shonda Rhimes Is Writing A Book — & We’re Preordering It

Shonda Rhimes has written a lot of things we enjoy. Grey's Anatomy and Scandal, just to name a couple. Now, Rhimes is penning something else we'll surely love. In a statement released earlier today, Simon & Schuster revealed they will be releasing Rhimes' first book this fall. Entitled Year of Yes, the book documents the challenge Rhimes undertook starting around Christmastime in 2013. The showrunner told Dartmouth's alumni magazine that her "New Year's resolution was to say yes to things that scare me." That one year, Rhimes said in the statement released by her publisher today, set her on a path to success. "Saying yes for an entire year turned out to be one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made. It was also a little insane, a lot terrifying, and sometimes wildly embarrassing. So this is not a story I ever planned to share with anyone. However, once Simon & Schuster asked me, I had no choice — what else could I say but yes?" We, of course, nod "yes" to reading about Shonda Rhimes' year of saying just that.
