Demi Lovato Dedicates Song To Bruce Jenner

During her New Zealand concert last night, pop star Demi
Lovato became the latest celebrity to wonderfully, publicly throw her support behind Bruce Jenner following the Olympian/reality star's brave gender identity discussion with Diane Sawyer, reports E! News

Lovato dedicated her
song, “Warrior,” to the gold medalist, and the opening lines of the ballad
couldn’t have been more appropriate: "This is a story that I have never told. I gotta get
this off my chest to let it go."

Admitting that she didn’t know
who Jenner was before Keeping Up With The
Kardashians
made him a household name for the second time, Lovato addressed
the cheering crowd:

"I
just want to dedicate this song…It's so cheesy that I'm even doing this, but
whatever. I want to dedicate it to someone who became an even bigger hero last
night—Bruce Jenner! No matter if
you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many
people [about] transitioning into becoming a woman and being transgender and
what that's all about. So, yeah, I just want to dedicate it to Bruce
Jenner."

Lovato,
who has been very open with fans about her own struggles in the public eye, is no stranger to the Kardashian/Jenner
clan. Earlier this month, she readily admitted to trying out Kylie’s signature lip look, and back in 2011 she praised Kim Kardashian as a true friend whose support helped Lovato get
through a stint in rehab. Kudos to Lovato for taking it full circle and
returning the love to the Kardashian/Jenner clan with this mid-concert callout.
