Oh Snap, Kimye Is Suing YouTube Co-Founder

The Kimye union is memorable (obviously, they have a celeb hybrid name!). But, Kanye West's proposal to Kim Kardashian was unforgettable. The big event, which took place in October 2013 at San Francisco's AT&T Park and was accompanied by an orchestra playing Lana Del Rey's "Young & Beautiful," captivated the masses. And, while it was meant to originally air on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, one videographer illegally beat the reality show to it.  YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley posted a 2 1/2 minute video of West's decadent proposal on his website, MixBit, before the show aired, even though he signed a confidentiality agreement. In March 2014, the newlyweds filed a lawsuit alleging Hurley broke the agreement and was liable for fraud and unjust enrichment claims.  According to AP, Hurley claimed the agreement did not include MixBit. Additionally, his lawyer argued that Hurley's actions are protected under the First Amendment and free speech rights. However, the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles disagrees and has ruled that Hurley's appeal "lacks merit."  As a result, Kimye is allowed to proceed with their lawsuit. (AP)
