Sofia Vergara is poised to make a box office splash with the
upcoming action/comedy Hot Pursuit
with Reese Witherspoon, so it's no wonder she's getting the splashy Vanity Fair treatment this May. Inside,
the leading lady details the ins and outs of breaking into Hollywood as a
Latina, but of course she also shared a cute anecdote about how she got together with
her fiancé, Joe Manganiello.
Manganiello, who was caught seriously checking out Vergara's
behind in a photo from the 2014 White House Correspondents' Dinner, wasn't shy
about pursuing the star as soon as she was back on the market. Apparently, the True Blood star reached out to Vergara's
Modern Family costar Jesse Tyler
Ferguson to fix them up, although she was initially wary — but not for why
you'd think.
"I'm like, 'Jesse, no, he's too handsome,'" she
told Vanity Fair. "Then after
two days of Jesse trying to convince me, I'm like, 'Okay, give him my number.'
I'm thinking, I'm in New Orleans shooting and he's in L.A. Nothing's going to
happen," adding, "But, we started talking a lot, and then he showed up
in New Orleans. Since then we've been inseparable." They got engaged last December.
