Prabal Gurung Introduces The All-In-One Tuxedo

Prabal Gurung's show has quickly become one of those easily recognizable one-namers. Used in a sentence, it's something like: "Are you going to Prabal?" And, in those two syllables everyone knows — mostly — what to expect: sophisticated, elegant clothing that makes a model's body look like the temple where the designer goes to worship. (Ahem, the way these girls looked, we don't blame him.)  That's not to say everything is soft and satin — not at all. In last night's delivery, there were asymmetrical edges and tough outerwear in the mix with slip dresses and sequined gowns. But, it's safe to say that nothing encompasses Prabal's take-on-the-world, yet still ethereal woman quite like his latest offering. We're calling it the all-in-one tuxedo, and it's awesome. The waist detailing and distinct lapel read as suit pieces rather than a jumpsuit, which makes the all-in-one tux fancy enough to wear to a black tie event. And, we imagine, comfortable enough to pass out in when you get home afterward. It's kind of like a bed-in-a-bag for your body. And boy, oh, boy does it make one's body look good. We can already see the lace-paneled number walking the red carpet at some of the more laid-back awards shows. Just which celeb will reply "Prabal" when asked what she's wearing? Well, that remains to be seen.
