Guess Which Trends Are On The Way Out?

From Dries Van Noten styles to Clover Canyon versions to Zara numbers, printed bottoms could be seen in nearly every woman’s wardrobe this year. But, according to Racked, the retail tech company EDITD determined that these fancy pants are just one of the trends of 2014 whose popularity is diminishing faster than that of a croissant-doughnut hybrid.
In its Black Friday 2014 market report, EDITD conducted product performance reviews and analyzed statistics from new arrival numbers to price reductions. By tracking the level of discounting in the last four months, EDITD concluded the apparel that stores should discount and eventually liquidate. Sleepwear, printed pants, and fur are among the dying trends. Must be a jolly holiday for PETA.
As we bid adieu to the styles of 2014 (and jump to buy them at their lowest prices yet), at least we can also look forward to keeping fringe, scalloped skirts, and picnic plaid back in heavy rotation come 2015 . Click over to Racked to read up on more of the findings and the trends that might not be sticking around.
