JK Rowling Twitter Fantastic Beasts Screenplay Clue

As we all know by now, J.K. Rowling's not the type of Twitter user who posts about what she's had for breakfast or which episode of House of Cards she's catching up on. In Rowling's world, every character is loaded with possibility, each tweet seemingly layered with a hidden meaning. Take, for example, the tweet she sent out yesterday.

"Very busy at the moment working on a novel [and] tweaking a screenplay," the beloved wordsmith shared.

On the surface, this all seems pretty straightforward. She's busy, she's a writer, and the screenplay she's referring to might just be the one for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. But, of course, she can't just come out and say that.

A fan then tweeted that she'd be analyzing Rowling's tweet, the Harry Potter author let the plot thicken with this response.

.@peruseproject See, now I'm tempted to post a riddle or an anagram. Must resist temptation... must work...

Then came this.

Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won’t tolerate this nonsense.

"Something to ponder while I'm away," the writer said of that final clue.

Instead of working on all those projects, Rowling continues to share hints via Twitter.

.@jk_rowling's cryptic tweet,"Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry!" is clearly an anagram meant to warn us that her "fur work canoe may fray." Duh.
