This Is What Beyoncé Left In Nicki Minaj's VMA Dressing Room

In 2013, Ann Friedman developed the idea of the Shine Theory, which suggests women are better off when they welcome — rather than shun and gossip about — other successful women.
"When you meet a woman who is intimidatingly witty, stylish, beautiful, and professionally accomplished, befriend her," Friedman advises. In other words, don't alienate.
To illustrate her point, Friedman nods to Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland. "Few women are unlucky enough to have their successes measured against Beyoncé's," she wrote, "but that feeling of resentment rather than joy at the personal and professional achievements of another woman is something most of us can relate to." Indeed, it's easier to make enemies out of our competition than to lift them up.

It's only appropriate, then, that Bey should serve up yet another episode of "I don't shine if you don't shine." The VMA vanguard gifted Nicki Minaj a diamond necklace bearing the Beyoncé stamp of approval: FLAWLESS.
Minaj shared a picture of the necklace on her Instagram account today.
"If Beyoncé didn't walk into your dressing room and give you a diamond 'FLAWLESS' necklace, then there's no way you could be having a better week than me,' she captioned the photo. "I could never thank you enough for your influence on powerful women all around the world. #WeFlawless."
