Update: Biggs has since deleted the tweets and issued the following apology: "People were offended, and that was not my intent. Sorry to those of you that were,” Biggs tweeted. “This is obviously a horrible tragedy, and everyone — including myself — is sad and angry about it. Sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families.”
It might be time for Jason Biggs to retire from Twitter.
The Orange Is The New Black star has a history of questionable tweeting habits, but took his troll game to new heights after news broke of today's horrific Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 crash.

“Anyone wanna buy my Malaysia Airlines frequent flier miles?” he wrote.
The Twittersphere reacted swiftly, condemning the actor for his insensitive (and wildly unfunny) jab, with Biggs immediately going on the defensive.
“Hey all you ‘too soon’ a-----s- it's a f-----g joke. You don't have to think it's funny, or even be on my twitter page at all,” he wrote. “The idea that I wouldn’t have any empathy 4 the victims or their families because I make a joke is absolutely ridiculous,” Biggs added. “U know that, right?”
What Biggs fails to understand is that — despite being that dude who had sex with a pie — he exists in the public sphere, and his words carry weight. Nearly 300 people died today, and Biggs' lame attempt at a joke comes across as wildly out of touch.
To make matters worse, the entire planet is on edge now that it's been confirmed that a missile shot down the plane.
"This is obviously a game changer and has horrific consequences," Sen. John McCain said earlier, echoing the sentiment that today's events could have much more significant ramifications than the initial loss of life.
It's impossible to know how many people today's tragedy will ultimately affect, which is something Biggs should keep in mind the next time he decides to put his foot directly into his mouth.
