There are two kinds of celebrity social-media accounts: the engaged celebrity and the assisted celebrity. Most famous accounts fall under the latter category, with hired help doing all the tweeting, Facebook-ing, and Instagramming for them. And, on the rare occasion a celeb feels the need to share an authentic thought, they'll sign off with their initials (Britney Spears and President Obama are known to do this).
The engaged celebrity, however, is rare. Their personality is embedded in every word and image (or, at least the personality they put forth to their public). On the other end of the spectrum is the late Insta-star Rihanna, whose replies were, well, very un-Swift-like. Together, the pair represent the two types of engaged celebrities: the sincere and the sarcastic. We'll leave you to decide who's who.
