Consider This The “Pre-Game” To Next Month’s Met Gala

If the Met Gala is the Super Bowl of stylish charity benefits, the New Yorkers For Children Gala could be considered its pre-game. On Monday night, some of the most recognizable personalities in NYC converged at the Mandarin Oriental for a night of philanthropy just as we like it: with a side of dancing. And, with attendees like Emma Roberts, Elettra Wiedemann, Selita Banks, and Eva Chen in attendance, the fête was as much of a style-stalking spectacle as it was a fundraiser.
Presented by Lauren X Khoo, the evening benefitted NYC's youth in foster care through a silent auction, and you can bet these attendees turned it out — some wearing Khoo's line of precious jewels and playful cocktail dresses — in honor of a good cause. Of course, this was merely just a warm-up for next month's Costume Institute Ball.
Beyond the exclusive celebration, shoppers will also be able to contribute to the cause by scheduling a preview at the Soho boutique of Chloé — a fashion sponsor of the evening. From now until April 27, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the organization.
