Rita Ora Made The Song Of The Summer, & It “Won’t Let You Down”

Rita Ora's quiet time on the pop-music periphery is quickly coming to an end. Her new single, "I Will Never Let You Down," dropped today, and it's got enough summery warmth to have you keeping it on rotation until the hazy days of August.
Perhaps it's the production by Calvin Harris (her S.O.), but this track gets fresher with each play. That, or Ora's finally found her voice in an industry that's quick to compare her to Rihanna or Beyoncé. For the first time, she's balancing her powerhouse vocals with the High Street-cool rasp that distinguishes her from the other gals vying for her spot. Either way, this is a jam if we've ever heard one.

In fact, not since Katy Perry's "California Gurls" has a song screamed "summer" so loudly. It's uplifting and completely carefree — just like a proper summer jam should be. And, if this does indeed follow in the footsteps of Perry's track, the video will surely be a saturated dazzler, too.

Update: Just as we predicted, the video is out and as colorful as ever. Check it out after the jump!
