Senior citizens don't come much saucier than this, folks. That's right — we said "senior citizen." It may be hard to believe, but this ravishing lady in red is none other than actress Raquel Welch, who just so happens to be 73 freakin' years old. We'll let that sink in.
Best known as the "cupcake on the wall" from Shawshank Redemption and the babe in the deer skin bikini from One Million Years B.C., Welch seems unwilling to relinquish her sex symbol status (and why should she?). Clearly taking a page from Sophia Loren's playbook, the wig guru stole the show at Sunday night's Governors Awards in a curve-hugging, cherry-red gown that makes our Nana's go-to caftans seem just a bit uninspired.
From head to toe, the former face of MAC could clearly pass for someone half her age — but that's not the point. We love, love, love that she still retains a mature sophistication and confidence while proving that it's okay to be sultry after 60. Here's hoping she and Helen Mirren met up after for martinis...
