It seems that not every wedding comes with a happy ending. And, while Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady and their brood are the picture of domestic bliss, their big day in April 2009 has left their former bodyguards embroiled in a troubling legal dispute in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Miguel Solis and Alexander Rivas have each been sentenced to five years in jail after being found guilty of attempted murder for allegedly firing shots at paparazzi to protect the star couple's privacy. A third man, Manuel Valverde, was acquitted.
On the day of the Bündchen/Brady wedding, which took place at a beach-front home in Costa Rica, Solis and Rivas are said to have confronted two photographers, insisting that they hand over their memory cards. When the photographers drove off, one or both of the guards allegedly open fired, though no one was injured in the incident.

The former security pros must also pay $10,000 in damages to each of the photographers involved.
Brady has previously denied the photographers' claims in an interview with Sports Illustrated, saying, "We found two guys on our property, and we told them to get out. Our security guys didn’t even have guns. There were no shots fired."
Clearly, the court disagreed. As yet, there is no word on whether the bodyguards intend to appeal. Either way, this case will no doubt be a cautionary tale to the paparazzi as well as security professionals and the celebrities who hire them. (Sky News)
