At Home With NYC’s Hottest Stylist

Scrolling through stylist and ELLE's Editor at Large Lori Goldstein's portfolio is like taking a walk through fashion's hall of fame. It's basically the dream flip book for any up-and-coming stylist: There are ads of the Dolce & Gabbana and Versace variety; magazine covers of the W, Vanity Fair, and Vogue variety; and celebrities of the Rihanna, Scarlett Johansson, and, uh, Madonna variety — just to name a few. So, suffice it to say, Ms. Goldstein has some serious knowledge to drop in her new book Style Is Instinct, which lands in stores October 29.

And, we were thrilled when the style icon invited us to her apartment for a pre-launch interview and home tour. We're so inspired by how all the color, pattern, and personal style translates into one fabulous Chelsea apartment. We also tapped Lori for some ultra-important lessons on fashion, personal style (can you teach it?), and what's off limits to this daring stylist to the stars (hint: Nothing at all).
