Arrested Development Renewed On Netflix, With A Possible Feature Film!

portiaDr
This has been a fixture of in the rumor mill for a while now, but Mitch Hurwitz gave pretty strong confirmation at a comedy festival in Montreal that the show is, indeed, up for another run on Netflix. The word he used was "definitely," and if that's not enough to make your Friday, we don't know what is.
In a conversation with Netflix chief of content Ted Sarandos at the festival, Hurwitz said that he goes "back and forth between [a movie] and a series. But here’s the most important thing, whatever we do, I want to get the cast all together and not do another anthology thing, and that’s why I keep thinking about kicking off with a special or a three-part show and then going into a series." Sarandos replied that he was "absolutely" okay with more Arrested Development, "in any form." Either way, it sounds like the next chapter in the Bluth family album will be wholly Netflix-based. While a Netflix-exclusive movie would be an interesting experiment, we have to say we'd happily pay even ridiculous NYC ticket prices to see this one in theaters. Who wouldn't? (Uproxx)
