Nicole Richie Gives Floral Advice, Thinks Daisies Are “Desperate”

Let's get real: During The Simple Life-era, very few people would have placed bets on Nicole Richie becoming one of Hollywood's most refreshing voices — with a supremely cool fashion and accessory line, to boot — all whilst avoiding overexposure. Except, of course, on Twitter: @nicolerichie is infectious and demonstrates the girl's laid-back attitude by being the first person to poke fun at herself.
And, now that she has long nails, she's all grown up (that's the tell-tale sign, she says!). At 31, the polymath has decided now is the time to be a "person with flowers," so AOL followed her to celebrity florist Eric Buterbaugh's shop, where she tries to find her flower vibe. Apparently, daisies are a desperate breed, and to Richie's shock, her predilection for all-white flowers might mean she is insecure. (To which she exclaims, "I'm insecure? I thought I was, like, elegant...and dope!") She also discovers that fuscia varieties indicate pushiness, and her penchant for sunflowers means she wants to live, wait for it...in the country. Eventually she gets the right flowers down, but in the meantime, she unpacks some serious floral psychology — and of course, the laughs.
