Welcome to Money Diaries, where we're tackling what might be the last taboo facing modern working women: money. We're asking millennials how they spend their hard-earned cash during a seven-day period — and we're tracking every last dollar.
Today, we're looking at the spending habits of five women in the U.S. making $100,000+ each year. A six-figure salary is nothing to sniff at of course, but how far that goes for anyone depends on their lifestyles and where they live. Some of the following diarists are in relationships while others are single; one works as a fitness instructor on the side while another is dedicated to her career in finance. Here's what managing money looks like for each of them.
