Nothing makes us cringe quite like a nasty divorce spat. Whether it's the latest tabloid fodder or a friend who couldn't make it to her next wedding anniversary, some of the showdowns we've witnessed warrant R (even NC-17, eek!) ratings. And apparently, we're not the only ones who believe certain bitter breakups would be better played out on the silver screen. Film producer Stephanie Danan and screenwriter Justin Kern launched the line of luxe fashion essentials Co back in 2011, and each new collection is presented with a short film, kind of like a dishy double feature —remember Tependris Rising for fall '12?
To promote their spring '13 line up, the duo cast Marisa Tomei and Elodie Bouchez as a lesbian couple on the icy brink of divorce. With comedian David Wain as the mediator, the former lovebirds must figure out how to divvy up their material possessions. As expected from a fashion-forward flick, haute hilarity ensues, including a cameo from Aubrey Plaza as the sexy dog walker.
How do they resolve their issues? Watch "She Said, She Said" (which was directed by Stuart Blumberg, the Oscar-nominated writer of “The Kids Are All Right"), to witness the drama.
