It’s not super shocking that so many of today's popular celebrities once modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch. These are all ridiculously good-looking people and while some of us lived through braces, frizzy-hair, and Coke-bottle-glasses, it seems they were all ridiculously good-looking youngsters, too. Namely ones who posed for the famously black-and-white, preppy, sometimes sexy A&F ad campaigns. And, InStyle has tracked down many examples.
Judging from the talent who once posed for the teen brand, we have to assume that booking an Abercrombie campaign was a sign of good things to come — like Oscars, Grammys, and Gossip Girl. The one thing we can't help wonder is how stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Taylor Swift were scouted for the brand. Were they referred by their agent? Were they just fresh-faced teens "discovered" in the food court of their local mall, spotted eating an Auntie Anne's pretzel wearing a moose-stamped tank top? In our imaginations, the latter is true.
