You Have To See How Much Jessica Alba Has Changed

Radiant skin, full brows, shiny waves — these are all qualities that could be used to describe Jessica Alba's beauty look. Heck, some might even call them her signature. While these attributes are surely part of Alba's everyday arsenal, on the red carpet the actress is actually quite a chameleon.

Blue eye makeup? She's rocked it like a badass. Bangs and a shaggy bob? She's tried 'em both. Orange lipstick? She's worn it on many occasions.

Need proof? We took a trip down memory lane with Alba to chat about five of her most memorable looks. Remember Alba's stint as a blond in the early aughts? How about her edgy graphic eye at last year's Billboard Music Awards? You will in a second.

Alba walked us through the good, the bad, and the ones she's rather forget, ahead.

Alba has been blond many times in her life. However, this particular shade is one she'd never revisit. "I've been so many different shades of blond...this one is so awful," she says. "Being blond is a whole thing. I have to wear a whole new palette and I always have to wear [blush] because I can tend to look a little washed out."

After a horrible bout of food poisoning in Paris, Alba touched down in L.A. to present at her first Academy Awards — but she didn't let it impact her look. "I wanted the makeup to look fresh and young," she says. "I was afraid of trying to look too mature [because] I was in my early '20s."

When Alba stepped out on the red carpet at the premiere of her film Valentine's Day, we barely recognized her. "That haircut was a reaction to me having really damaged blond hair. I cut it all off and got bangs and a bob — I don't think I'd do that again," she said. "I don't think I'm good with bangs. In my mind I'm going to look like this cool French girl but I wake up with major peacock [bangs.]"

In 2013, Alba hit the red carpet at the Golden Globes sporting a look we can definitely see her wearing today. "This was actually one of my favorite red carpet moments," she says. "The lip was a last-second choice. And the hair is a Hollywood wave, but a little more modern. [I have] a good hair and makeup team. They turn it out...I can't take credit for any of that!"

Last but not least, we give you our all-time favorite Alba moment: Her look at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards — courtesy of makeup artist Lauren Andersen and hairstylist Davy Newkirk.

"[Lauren and Davy] bombarded me in the hotel room and said 'we know what we're doing. We have the inspiration and this is what you're going to look like'," Alba says. "The cat-eye took a little while, but the most important thing is to keep a neutral face everywhere else if you're going to go with such a strong eye...It was fun...But if I showed up at the office or my kids' school with that on it would be a little extra."
