Revlon Is Replacing All Of Its Old Mascaras With 5 Brand-New Ones

If you're a devotee of Revlon Grow Luscious or Lash Potion — it might be time to update your desert-island product. In a pretty bold move, Revlon is slowly phasing out every last one of its mascaras and replacing them with one streamlined, five-piece portfolio this month. The new collection cuts through the clutter and delivers on five key lash benefits: volume, length, volume and length, clump-free, and all-in-one. (Plus black, blackest-black, blackened-brown shades and waterproof options for almost all.)

Other brands like Buxom and Eyeko have also jumped on the bespoke mascara trend — and considering how personal mascara is and how confusing all the options can be — we're totally on board with it. Click ahead to see the new Revlon collection in its entirety and if you're shedding a few tears over losing your go-to mascara in the revamp, you'll also find some suggestions for replacing it.

Do you suffer from analysis paralysis? Then this might be your best bet. The brand-new Ultimate All-In-One mascara (and the first available from the collection this month) is designed to add volume, length, definition, lift, and inky black color. But not a new car, unfortunately.

That's all thanks to its teeny-tiny (no seriously, it's miniature) brush, which has a hollow core — to hold a generous coat of mascara — and a unique oval shape that reaches every last lash.

Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara, $8.99, available at drugstores. (You'll need to wait until June 2016 for the waterproof version.)

Maybe volume is your endgame. This one has a conditioning formula that glides easily through lashes to beef them up, without any crispy dryness typical of some volumizers.

The soft, bushy brush — which has a mix of long and short bristles — surrounds each lash with a nice coat of mascara, but not so much that you end up a clumpy mess. (And we're not talking about the good kind.) If you liked Revlon's Grow Luscious Lash Potion, this might be a good replacement for you.

It wouldn't be a mascara collection without a lengthening formula, amiright? This buildable version lets you go from zero to hero in a few strokes.

The brush, though admittedly a bit big (think Diorshow big) really did make our lashes look longer. It just required careful application to keep the bushy bristles from hitting our browbones. If you liked Grow Luscious Original Mascara, try this.

Volume and length are nice apart — but together, they're the lash dream team. This fiber-based formula (which is a bit drier and less inky than the others) effectively bulked and lengthened every last one of our lashes.

It's hard to tell in this photo, but the shape of the brush is slightly square, which helps with pressing the mascara onto your lashes evenly from roots to tips. If you liked Revlon Grow Luscious Bold Lacquer, pick this up.

This is also a great time to mention the outer design of all these mascaras. The flat barrel is much easier to grip than traditional round tubes — and the click-shut closure makes it almost impossible to accidentally dry out them out.

Maybe you just want perfectly defined lashes without a clump in sight. (And we feel you, that's often what we want, too.) This flexible formula delivers just that.

The real secret is in the stiff, plastic brush. The long spikes (much longer than most clump-annihilating formulas we've tried) coat the lashes while combing them and keeping them totally separated. After a few coats, we looked like we enjoyed about three extra hours of sleep. (We recommend trying this if you were a Revlon PhotoReady 3D Drama fan.)
