Had we not already elected Amy Schumer our personal hero, we would certainly be doing it now. The comedian and star of Trainwreck recently opened up to Glamour about life, work, love, and body image — and she set the record straight about a few important things that all women and men need to hear. "For women, we’re taught to eat less until we disappear," she told the mag. "And trained to believe that if you don’t look like everyone else, then you’re unlovable. And men are not trained that way. Men can look like whatever and still date a supermodel." Of her much talked about statements at Glamour UK's Women of the Year ceremony — i.e. "I weigh 160 pounds and I can catch a dick whenever I want" — Schumer said that she wouldn't change a thing. "I’m proud of what I said. I think it’s good to see somebody saying: I have a belly. And I have cellulite. And I still deserve love. And to catch the old D. And to not apologize.” Another thing that Schumer brought up that fits right in with the no-sorry-needed mentality: Sex. She's got a message for all the ladies out there: "Don't not have an orgasm. Make sure he knows that you’re entitled to an orgasm." She continued, "I like to say it. I’ll be like, ‘Hey, there are two people here.’ I’ll be like, ‘Oh my God, have you met my clit?’ Don’t be self-conscious.” Words of wisdom from one of the smartest, and most inspiring women working in entertainment today.
