Trend Spotting: Mustard Nails

Spring brings about many rituals: finding the perfect sundress, getting back into shape, and planning a whole season of manicures and pedicures. Since all 10 fingers and toes will see more than their fair share of the light of day soon, let's talk about your polish strategy. May we present our prime pick for spring's must-have color: mustard nail lacquer.
The hue is much more subtle than your average screaming taxi-cab yellow but not as moody as your chocolate-brown polishes. Think of it as the perfect love child between light and dark for a spice-rack-inspired hue with serious gravitas. We love it on pretty much every skin tone, and we think it'll play well with all of spring's big trends, namely all those bright-and-lovely art prints we've got our eye on. (We wish we could quit you, Asos.)
We've gathered a few polishes, some new and some old, to help get you in the mustard mood. Ready to be seduced by saffron? Your next best manicure is right this way.

This saffron is the stuff of which spring manicures are made. Watch where you put this when getting your nails done, lest someone steals it.

A more classic-but-grungy mustard, its punky color and gritty texture helps it earn the Ramones-inspired name, which we love. Rock on.

For those who like their saffron mixed with some good old-fashioned gold, try this polish with a mustard undertone for a touch of gilded glamour.

This creamy mustard hue is more Grey Poupon than sunshine, and that suits us just fine. Layer ours on thick, if you please.
