When certain celebrities post items to Instagram, it tends to send their fans into a frenzy. While we sipped our morning coffee underneath a snow drift in New York, we watched as Rihanna fans on Instagram were whipped into a bonafide frenzy over a new campaign image for her MAC Viva Glam lip products with a call to action to go get the lip colors right now. Thousands of MAC and Rihanna fans went into frantic clicking mode to get their hands on the lippies.
There's only one issue: The products aren't exactly available just yet. The singer has since pulled the Instagram post, but we went on to investigate when the charitable lip products are actually going to hit stores this month.
No need to stress: The brand has confirmed that rabid RiRi fans need only wait until January 21, which is when her Viva Glam Lipstick and Lipglass colors will be available online in North America. Those who prefer to visit their favorite MAC counters and stores will have to wait an additional 48 hours for the products to hit brick and mortar on January 23. One hundred percent of all Viva Glam lip products go to benefit the MAC Aids Fund, which brings money to provide assistance to help those affected by HIV and AIDS all over the world. Can you blame RiRi for being so amped up to promote it?
