After two years on the market, the Spelling mansion in Bel Air has finally been sold. Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone is said to be the next owner of the 56,000-square-foot home, one of the largest in California. Due to the state of the economy, the prime piece of real estate had been struggling since it was put up for sale. It figures that not many people would buy a home with a six-acre compound, gift-wrapping room, two-lane bowling alley, and screening room during such a sad economic downturn. Unfortunately, it is still unknown if Candy Spelling walked away with all of the $150 million she had asked for the sprawling estate. (ABC)
