Insider Secret: Manhattan’s Go-To Hair Salon

For all us modern-day Samsons, hair is a pretty touchy subject—we won't let anyone touch these tresses without some sterling recommendations. With fall coming up, we've been eyeing some new hair trends (Emma Watson's pixie-cut anyone?) and we thinks Fashion Week is a pretty tempting time to debut our perm, bob, or color. While we've been having quite a cranium conundrum searching for the perfect spot to get our locks re-shaped come September, we think we may have found the solution in the beautiful SoHo salon The Drawing Room. Tucked away in a light-flooded, second floor loft-space on Spring Street right next to Chanel, the salon opened in late June, and is the brainchild of Greek stylist Clyde Elezi, former Creative Director of Cutler. The treatment is as VIP as the décor (think Saarinen-style chairs, floating mirrors, and original moldings), with a glass of vino to go with Elezi's signature consultation—he grills you on everything from your style to your social calendar before he puts scissor to follicle. Plus, his personal attention is a rarity among high-end stylists—despite his TV appearances and clients like Cynthia Rowley and Liev Schreiber, Elezi acts like you're the only one in the room, even at a price tag that doesn't majorly break the bank ($90-$150, with complimentary 10 minute blowout). So, try out that daring 'do for a Fashion Week splash—at this salon, you won't have to go back to the drawing board.
